Mission Statement:
The purpose of the Greater Lewisville Arts Alliance is to nurture the development of the arts for the enrichment of the quality of life in the Greater Lewisville community.
Incorporation:
Then known as the Greater Lewisville Arts Council, it was incorporporated as a 501(c) 3 not for profit organization with the Texas Secretary of State with a filing dated January 30, 1997 and officially filed by the Secretary February 4, 1997. Federal EIN number 75-2862789.
Purpose:
The corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, literary and educational purposes as defined in Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. These activites will include, but not limited to, promotion, encouragement, direction, sponsorship, and other development of cultural activities within the community defined as Greater Lewisivlle. The organization will strive to provide a cultural climate of consistently high quality and wide variety to serve the needs of all citizens.
Organization:
The affairs of the organization are led by a Board of Directors whose officers shall include a Chairman, a 1st Vice Chairman, a 2nd Vice Chairman, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and a Membership Coordinator. Currently, it meets bi-monthly, the second Wednesday of the month, January, March, May, July, September, and November, from 9:00 until 11 AM in the Education Wing at Medical Center of Lewisville Grand. Anyone may attend.
